Welcome to Felix Physical Therapy!

Caroline Felix, who goes more informally by Josie, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2019. A California native, she has been practicing in Encinitas for the past year. Prior to returning to California, Josie spent five years in outpatient orthopedics in Seattle, where she worked with a wide variety of patient populations and conditions.

Her clinical experience includes: * Return-to-sport rehabilitation (golf, baseball/softball, gymnastics, tennis, lacrosse, and more) * TPI clients seeking injury recovery or improved mechanics, strength, mobility, and balance * Pediatric injuries (ages 6–18) * Geriatrics (65+) * Spinal conditions (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar) * TMJ dysfunction * EDS and hypermobility syndromes * Chronic pain and headaches * Neurological injuries, including brachial plexus injuries and radiculopathies * And more—just ask!

Josie’s passion for movement and performance is rooted in her own athletic background. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on a full-ride softball scholarship as a pitcher from 2010–2012 before transferring to Clemson University (Go Tigers!) to pursue a health sciences degree. As a former competitive athlete, she is especially passionate about helping individuals return to sport, as well as providing prehab and injury prevention strategies.

Josie is currently completing a fellowship in manual therapy and is committed to ongoing education, regularly pursuing advanced training to ensure she delivers the highest level of care to her patients.
